Artist's Comments

Extremely simple and will prolly go into scraps soon, but a response to some of the frustrating stuff I see on dA.

Then I'm a fake.

I want to accept peoples oppinions and stuff, just really brings me down, like when I ask for real criticism and not constructive criticism because I am my own critic most of the time, no one does it...they say "I've got nothing to crit *random weird smilie face*" and when I actually say I'm happy with my work people begin to point out things to me that really do not matter to me, because I made it that way? ._. I'd put dicourage criticism but...

Really though...that's why there is the option to encourage and discourage criticism, hah this would be so much better if I didn't care

To me, constructive criticism is something that you take in, but you don't necessarily have to follow. My intention was to state that an artist should accept that other people have opinions, and that listening (even if you don't apply it) helps you grow as an artist. I don't think anyone should have an elite mentality, refusing to accept what others may think about their art.

And constructive criticism is not the same thing as compliments. It is anything that helps one improve. If you "made something that way", then it's great! You don't have to adhere to other's suggestions, because they are what they are. Suggestions.
